Yes!
Obama is going to sock it to McCain the way we like it!
This is what a Obama aide told MSNBC he would mention in his statement later.
David Shuster on Msnbc said that Obama's is not going to postpone the debate, he feels that the economic crisis is bad, but elements of the economy can be augmented into the debate, but he doesn't feel it should be cancelled. Obama continues to says "the only thing that's changed are the polls"!
This is what was told to David Gregory, that Obama will address in his speech.
It seems the Obama campaign is not happy about this.
They reached out to the McCain campaign about a joint statement on the economy this morning, and McCain pulled a fast one on them (by announcing this in response). Reporters, said that they were all stunned (MSNBC).
Obama is now speaking!
Obama will also say, that:
Presidents need to must multi-task, because it's a tough job!
So Barack will mention in his statement this evening:
- President needs to Multi-task
- The only thing that has changed is the polls
- That the economy as a issue, should be augmented into the debate.
He is speaking live now.
Barack is now saying: "This is the time the American people need to hear from us, and we should talk more about the economy.
Yeah!
I was (as I'm sure many of you) were afraid Obama may cave in. I'm glad not only is he not caving in, but he's coming out with a strong, forceful statement vs McCain. Bravo Obama!
It seems the Democrats are working together on this:
Harry Reid says, that having Obama and McCain would be a distraction, and what the public needs is a solution and a debate, and not photo ops.
I don't think this approach can hurt Obama. I think the public will be on his side. This is another desperate attempt by McCain. First the celebrity commercials, than the Palin pick and now this. The man has gone batshit!
With financial markets falling, and after a 18mos long campaign, McCain want's to now just pull out? So I guess as President, McCain would be able to pick his crisis? WTF is going on here?
Let the debates go on (even if it's a financial one)!
